Miles Johnston started video recording the Irish era of Pirate Radio, in 1982, previously it was all on tape (cassette) and 35mm stills. Then he finally got a Saticon tube colour camera and portable VHS recorder.. a very expensive item in 1982 So this is the first tape.
The plan is to release all the camera tapes, covering this era, which included some of the London Pirates.
The radio stations had transmitters near by, big ones, so there is noise on the pictures. the tapes are FORTY Years old, and magnetic image is vanishing from the tapes. So this what we have.
maybe AI can clean it up. This is tape C30, 1st June 1982. The era of the Superpirates was now happening. Probably the most exciting time to live through and be it. Many radio Caroline DJs and staff came across to Dublin. It was a fantastic time
The unwatermarked version is only available from basestv.com
Date is 1st June 1982, and July 1982
