Apollo 16 Launch James Burke BBC Unilateral Raw Line Feed to BBC Europe

International PAL line feed from Apollo 16 launch, which is the final Apollo launch in daylight, and with improved video quality due to new cameras then available. The sound is dreadful, which is common on US circuit, for some reason. BBC had the brilliant James Burke, who made such sense and joy on the BBC’s space coverage in that era. He is in interview with Jim Lovell in what is called the “UniLateral” feed, as a pre-record for the London Studio, to cut in to the live coverage at BBC London. The on site crew tried different available count down audio, so you will hear this change. A loud “motor noise” is over the audio, thus a “refeed” after lunch was sent. I had uploaded this before, on my old banned YouTube channel, and spent a lot of time cleaning the audio up. But this is from the Bases project Archive, RAW Camera tapes, only available at basestv.com. Apollo 12 and 16 were the only 2 launches I got from the 1″ broadcast tape, at my time at BBC NI. I could have them all. But this is what was obtained onto the VHS at the time in 1986
